The typical cost for a standard day (maximum 9 hours, daytime) is £550 which includes the tour guide/driver, insurance and our vehicle which carries up to 8 passengers (7 in comfort). For longer days and/or non-standard hours, additional fees will apply. For multiday tours, an additional £150 will be charged per overnight to cover driver's expenses and accommodation. When you get in contact to book, a final total cost will be provided, tailored to the information provided.
This cost does not include the following:
-
Accommodation (see below)
-

-
Entry to paid for attractions and external tours

Due to the nature of our insurance, we are unable to accept individual payment from each passenger and the tour must be booked in full by one point of contact.

Booking Confirmation
Once you have submitted your initial enquiry, we will be in contact with you to discuss the finer details of your trip and provide initial confirmation of availability. A deposit of 20% of the Your Scottish Experience costs plus the full cost of any additional pre-booked excursions/trips/external tours will be required to finalise a booking and should this not be received within 7 days of our initial response, the provisional booking will be automatically cancelled. The full balance of the tour cost will be required 8 weeks in advance of the tour start date. Should this not be received, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. Tours booked less than 8 weeks from the start date will be required to be paid for in full at booking.

Accommodation
As a tour guide only company, we cannot book accommodation for your tour. We will however provide as much advice and assistance with this as you need to ensure this is made super easy. Always double check your bookings and locations before your departure. The tour guide/driver will organise their own accommodation so you don't need to worry about this (see 'Costs' for details).

If you want to ensure you get a full choice of accommodation (and at a reasonable price!), it is recommended that you book as early as possible. It is common for all accommodation in more remote locations, especially the Isle of Skye , to be fully booked over the summer months. There are times when we have been unable to accept late notice bookings due to accommodation shortages.

Luggage Limits
Although our vehicle does have a good amount of luggage space, if we are carrying 7 passengers and they all bring enormous cases there might be an issue! We recommend that for a fuller bus passengers try to carry a maximum of 15kg of luggage to ensure we don't need to leave anyone behind. If you think this may be an issue for your party, please get in touch to chat. Obviously, if there is only two or three passengers, we can accommodate bigger cases and the kitchen sink can be brought.

Cancellation Policy
Should you need to cancel your tour, please get in contact with us at the earliest opportunity. Following confirmation of booking, the 20% booking deposit (along with any additional pre-booked excursions/trips/external tours that cannot be cancelled) is non-refundable. If the full tour amount has been paid and you need to cancel up to two weeks before the tour commences, monies will be returned minus the 20% booking deposit and any additional pre-booked excursions/trips/external tours that cannot be cancelled. Tours cancelled within two weeks of tour departure will not be liable for any refund unless under special circumstances and at discretion of Your Scottish Experience.

In the very unlikely event that we have to cancel your tour, we will provide a full refund within 24 hours and endeavour to make alternative arrangements for your party. In the event of cancellation of your tour, Your Scottish Experience will not be liable for any subsequent cancellation costs incurred, e.g. for accommodation, therefore we recommend that you have suitable travel insurance in place for your trip.
